Today, i got my hands on a AMD duron machine which is so slow, i decided to overclock this bitch. I went to the BIOS and changed it to 131mhZ (132 is the max). No problem!

I push enter. Then i see some menu with RedStormOverclocking. Hmm, interesting... let's activate that!!!:smokin:

BANG! this retarded pc restarts and gives nothing but some peeping coming from the MoBo which probably means that it is powered on but hasn't got any RAM or processor.

No way to turn it of then pulling out the powercable...

This old piece of crap is busted!!!!

All you have to do is reset the bios. And never overclock to the max right off the bat. Apparently you're just screwing with a perfectly working PC. Instead of ruining a computer why dont you put it to fold instead? Someone would be perfectly happy with any computer that works and you dont need to ruin something just because its older.

If you want a gaming machine, save up your money, also overclocking takes learning and experience start with low levels and check the stability of the part you overclocked.

Oh you have to remove the little silver battery in it and then put it back in, that will reset it. Not sure what you call them it just looks like a huge watch battery.

Do you have a manual for the mobo? It will tell you how to reset it if it won't boot up. It's either take out the CMOS battery, or fiddle round with some jumper cables, or do some weird boot-shutdown sequence.

So...what was the clock before you changed it to 131MHz?

This is no way to treat a computer. If you don't want it, I agree with kow; I'm sure someone will be grateful for the 100-odd ppd that the duron would provide.

CMOS battery.

Probably around 100 i'm guessing.
