BlastoidAt 100c your processor would burn out... I have my alarm set point at 60c...

Far from it, it would merly have a much higher faliure rate. I have had sub 1ghz CPUs work at 130+ for a couple of hours before crashing.

Bear in mind if you are overclocking through BIOS to constantly check the temperature inside the case using the BIOS features. If it gets over 40 degrees (I think) it can start to screw up your motherboard components. And overclock only a few mhz a time. People have overclocked to the max before and fried their processors on which they spent £300 on. Be careful, kids.

I used peltiers and watercooling with alcohol, managed to play halflife for quite some time before it went dead :)

I am not exacly sure what you mean by "screw apart your cpu", but I used Artic Silver thermal paste and a Vantec AeroFlow VA4-C7040, see link below. Do you mean unlock it, unlock multi's? My motherboard has many overclocking features that help, Epox 8RDA3+ v2. When overclocking, it is most important to keep things cool. Heat is your worst enemy!
