I am considering upgrading my P4 1.3 to a 2.8 using a kit. My question/thought is where can I find a good socket converter attachment, as my P4 1.3 is a 423, and I want to go to a 478??? :bows: Any suggestions would be hot.
You can convert sockets? I never herd of that....
http://www.google.com/froogle?q=socket+converter+for+socket+423+to+478 there is a froogle search I did.
That will be something nice to prolong the life of my mobo:D
I thought you had to get a new motherboard if you had two CPUs with different sockets.
lol, even if you could convert that a mobo that is meant for a 1.3 will literally either explode, melt or conclude in some other destructive way if you put a 2.8 in there...

Sweet... Thanks for the Froogle link. Yeah, I've been upgrading this old Dell Dimension 8100... RDRAM, Old MOBO... It's been a real challenge, but I can run Half Life 2 on it almost perfectly. Only thing I need for it now is a better processor. :naughty:
