Test your memory. http://www.memtest86.com/ http://oca.microsoft.com/en/mtinst.exe

Test your cpu. http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html?dir=dload&location=sware_dl_3264&langx=en&a

If nothing is found wrong you should try flashing your bios. & then make sure that every drive is up to date video, sound, mouse, ect..

If you didn't build this machine you need to call the company you bought it from since you could void your warranty.

the problem is the ULI chipset on that asrock board. i had that same board for a couple of days runing on agp with a bfg 6600gtoc. The Uli chipset really has a problem with nvidia agp cards and can overheat . this problem shows up with sound going out on one channel or lock up in games with the sound still playing , or random shutdowns or slowdowns. not really much of a fix , you need to slow down acceleration on AGP port to 4x or less in BIOS . this will help the lock ups but will degrade performance in games. the best thing to do is to get a mobo with nvidia4 chipset. if your graphics board is AGP. the best you can do is get a nvida3 chipset but that also has similar problems , albeit not as serious as the ULI. ultimatedly, we will all have to upgrade to PCIE
