Are there pci e versions of the geforce 6800 and radeon 9800? I've been looking all over and I can find plenty of agp cards but just a few top end pci e cards? Does this have somthing to do with them being new?

I recall something about a limited number of manufactorers producing their topline AGP cards with PCI express interface. Not sure though.

Unless you have a ton of money it's really not worth it to upgrade to PCI Express right now... The price will go down in a couple of months...

I really have no choice. My mobo only has a pci e slot.

Well then you should upgrade your video card to an ATI x800 PCI Express...

Unless it's cheaper (which it probably is) to buy a standard AGP motherboard...

yes, AGP is so much better than PCI, definantly get a mobo with a PCI slot, you can find some around 70 buck (give or take a few).

We are talking about PCI Express, not normal PCI. PCI Express will be faster than AGP.

yeah, PCI Express is much faster than AGP, its just there arent many PCI-E graphics cards. My friend has AGP 2x which is slow as fu*k, i have AGP 4x which is crap. And most AGP mobos have AGP 8x. But... PCI-E is 16x i think so PCI-E is a lot faster. How ever, normaly PCI is NOT cool
