Ok guys i am in serious danger lol. I have been infected with spyware! Wierd things are happening. First of all here we go. A screen somehow popped out from the top of my PC. It said your computer is infected. I immediatly went to some site and I downloaded virus blocker stuff. Spyware,m whatever. I started the scan and my spyware thing stopped! Then, this was frickin wierd! I left for something to drink and I came back and OMG the paint thing on my PC was up n my mouse was moving by itself and creating a box in the paint thing!!! I downloaded a bunch of spyware removers and one of them found 231 infections!!! But, sadly, I have to pay to remove, I dont feel like paying a bunch of money! I have 273 songs ready for my iPod and I dont need those all deleted! I just want some suggestions from you guys on some good spyware removers, and please dont put Search & Destroy cuz it only found 16 infections. One that removes keylogger crap would be nice too! But please guys, give me some GOOD free spyware removrs. Thanks guys, I sppreciate it -G

Word of advice. NEVER DO THOSE STUPID POP UP ADS CAUSE THAT popped out from the top of my PC. It said your computer is infected. IS A POP UP ADD!!!!!!!!!!111

Download Ad-Ware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and see if it can delete them.

Download and install both Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy, update definition files on both programs, restart your computer in safemode (hit F8 while computer is starting up), scan with both Ad-aware and Spybot. Restart and enter safemode again if something is left behind after the first scans.

As Agentlaidlaw said, dont get fooled by popus, its mostly crap.

And don't pay anyone to do it. All they do is turn the computer on, and run some software that they downloaded for free (or possibly bought for a small fee) while they sit back and watch. And for the third time, dont be fooled by those popups. It's impossible for anything like that to know weather or not your infected without you yourself running some kind of scan. Unless you downloaded it, ran it, and were expecting some results from it, its bogus.

Adaware SE and Spybot are the best free spyware programs you can get! That is all I use and been using them for 3 years with no problem!

Go ahead and get

Adaware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

AVG Anti-Virus: http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1 (look for the free version on there AVG free)

And go ahead and get Microsoft Anti-Spyware: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en

Next make sure you aren't using IE, as it is a miserably unsafe browser. Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ Opera: http://www.opera.com/download/

You want to run all spyware removers that were mentioned on full scan, check everything. Then, go ahead and use the anti-virus to see if you got any viruses. Then, make sure you get a different browser. After that, if it persists, you might need to either reformat, or find the problem in safe mode (F8 at start up) and remove them via that way.
