That'd be a possibly do-able project for a desktop, but for a laptop, especially if you wanted a metal case, that'd be a seriously difficult project.

GateCrusher420;4933615 At the current time, I'm not going to waste my money on it seeing as it doesn't have any major problems with it

At least with my M1710 is produced heat like a microwave oven on my legs. I actually used frozen peas to cool it down while gaming one time. It melted the peas and almost fully cooked them :p

Haha. My M1710 has been a good computer for me. It does basically everything that I want. It's also the most secure computer in my whole house. Virtually impossible to hack into it. When you back like 3 layers of password protection on it with my network security stuff, plus anti-virus and anti-spyware. It's been 100% clean since the first day I got it. I've even tried hacking into it via my desktop which is like 20 inches away from where I usually keep it at home...and I failed. One of the programs I wrote myself that I have installed on it, when an external computer tries to make a forced connection to it, it kills the network connection. So yeah, I keep basically everything on it. Not to mention about 3 separate backups of it as well. To put it in perspective I've got login data for the sites I help run, financial data for my dads business, about 20 gigs worth of photos, 4 games, all the network information for my home network(s), server information (for home stuffz), server information (for dads business), and like a list of over 100 IP's for servers, IPS's, etc. So...when it all comes down to it, if everything in my house got pwned by an ├╝ber virus, my laptop would be our basic restarting point. ANywho. I'd actually like to try to make an aluminum case for it. That'd be fun.
