Hey guys..

I was wondering if any of you might know whats going on. I recently purchased 2 GIGs ( 2 1 GIG sticks) of RAM (ddr2) from Newegg. Its 800MHz, 4-4-4-12 timing from Crucial.

I tried installing it into my PC.. But my monitor kept saying no signal input. So I switched back to to my old RAM, and everything booted up properly. I tried again with my new sticks, and got the same no input message. I thought maybe one of the sticks was malfunctioning, so I switched out the old for the new. Each stick boots the PC up fine, all by itself. My 512 and one of the 1 Gigs will also boot my PC, IF the 512 is in the first slot. However, My PC still only reads 1 Gig, not 1.5.

I'd love to get both GIGs to work, but I don't know what else to try.

Thanks for any help/opinions on this.

More information, please. Motherboard make & model and old RAM config, at least. Is your monitor actually stating "no input signal" as if the cable was unplugged, or are you getting this from a POST beep code?
