Every time i try to join an online game on steam whether it's a mod or an official game, it continues to keep saying for every server i try, vac secured or not, "Error verifying USER ID ticket", give or take a few words. No i am not hacking, have a modded PC, running any scripts, or anything, so, any idea what it could be?
Have you got a legit copy of Steam, the offical one from the website? People that use modified steam files cannot access online and do recieve that messege. It could also be the fact that torrents are used, but they only usally work for Single player meaning this messege would pop up again. I personally don't know of any more reasons, maybe you should try Google there could be a solution.
Yes, i have a "legit" copy of steam and i dont have any Torrented games on steam either.
Have you tried contacting Steam's Support?
Go to your Steam folder, and look for ClientRegistry.blob. Delete this. It'll force Steam to re-update the latest patch, and search for a new authentication server. Hopefully, it should solve your problem. It also works if you're having a slow download speed on Steam(slower than what your connection is capable of).
Yea, i think someone was also on my steam account aswell, i changed my email address and my password and just to be extra safe i deleted the .blob file.
And remember, sharing an account will get it locked. DO NOT do that EVER!
