Over the past couple of days my PC keeps freezing and I have to turn it off and a message comes up saying

Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter

I don't even have a system disk ! whats the problem ?

Without any more information to go on, it sounds like your primary hard disk is failing.

Yeah like what c38368 said. Your harddrive might be going out or your processor might be overheating. Good thing your getting that Mac mini :)

well if ur planning to save ur computer then geta new hd (a cheap one since all ur moneys goin to that mac mini) and just transfer the whole HD to the new one. then smack that bad boy back on ur old thing and set up a network between ur mac mini and ur aging one. (althought the "Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter" thing sound likes its a floppy error, u sure there aint a floppy in that drive or u floppys broke? if not the try sticking in a start up floppy, that mite solve it for ya, since sumtimes computers forget how to wake up)

yes you do, its called the "hard drive". the "system Disk" isnt booting properly, and needs one of the following:

new ribbon cable bios settings checked HDD replaced

it sounds like your primary boot HDD is failing. check bios to make sure its #1 on boot list, check ribbon cable (although not the problem). look for defects on your HDD.

Did you read my post above ?

it is fine now it was just overheating becuase it was never turned off, so now I turn the PC of when I'm not using it.
