Blaze97Is this RAM okay? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=506209&Sku=TC2-DDR-512&CatId=147

I believe so. But you have to have 2 of the same size for it to work double. 2x128 mb or 2x256 etc... You said you had 256 mb? 1x256 or 2x128 ?

Probably 1x256MB. Which means you've got got 1 free mem slot left. You don't need two of the same modules, you can mix 'm up. Odessa: I don't think the i845 chipset used dual channel or twinbank. I'm pretty sure that came with the later chipsets (i865/875?).

I didn't see the TS chipset...my bad. You are correct. The I845 chipset is single channel thus the TS can put in whatever amount of ram he wishes.

1,2 and 3: Yes 4,5: No, Dell uses different connectors for power switch etc. (Odessa;) ) 6,7 and 8; Hmm.. don't think so. These are 533 and 800 FSB Penium 4's, not supported. You'll want a 400 FSB processor, like this one (hey, 2.8 does come with a 400 FSB): http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=720590&Sku=CP2-P4-2800ANC&CatId=260
