alright guy's I'm in the market for a new psu my requirements are quite simple at least 500w and it must be modular I've found two I'm interested in

Coolermaster RealPower 520W Modular PSU - SLI Ready - Ebuyer

Corsair HX Series 520W Modular PSU - ATX12V v2.2 APFC - Ebuyer

if you guy's could give me some more options or tell me if the two i have my eye on are any good i would appreciate it, oh and btw my budget is about £60-65 or for you guy's in the usa about $117-127

cheers;)

I don't know about their PSUs but I've not been impressed with any of the CoolerMaster products I've used recently. They've really dropped the quality ball as far as I'm concerned. I've not used a recent PSU from them, so for all I know they could be excellent, but it's not something I actually want to try.

I've got the slightly more powerful version of that Corsair (620W) and I had problems with it. Fixable problems (by me, didn't even send it back), but the sort of problem that shouldn't have got past quality control to begin with. That concerns me a little, and it certainly didn't make a good first impression.

I would suggest Seasonic or Tagan, but the only 500W+ ones in your budget aren't modular, and you'll be paying £80+ for ones that are.

I think Antec NEO HE500GB 500W Modular PSU With 80mm Low Speed/noise Fan 18db - Ebuyer is your best choice in my opinion. Antec PSUs are generally well regarded and I've used a number of them without a single problem.

To Be 100% honest, If I were you, I'd wait for 1 more pay, or borrow 5 pound of my parents, and get this one.... Antec Neopower 650W Modular PSU - Blue LED 12CM Fan - Ebuyer

I've got the 550 Version of it, and its been great, modular of course, and only 5 extra pound

Corsair is better than Antec Neo. Both are Seasonic inside but Corsair is more silent and the efficiency is also better. So go for HX520W.
