I have noticed that when the map changes, me and A-E were always the first ones to be fully on the server (not 999 in ping). And the ones who were 999 were the ones at risk of being kicked, and yes, they were kicked due to "No Packet Flow". So I think, the faster you are fully connected to the server after a map change, the less of the chance you have at being kicked via PB.

If you go into the dos prompt and type "ping 127.0.0.1" this will send 4 packets to you're computer and register their receipt, now instead of this type in "ping ***.*.*.*" where "***.*.*.*" is the IP address of you're server.
My theory on this problem is that no packet flow means that they are not maintaining a connection with the PB Server at a sufficient speed, this means it cant get a report from the client to see if you're cheating, therefore it kicks you.
That's generally what it means. Or perhaps that a port that PB is using is blocked. Perhaps it is only people with routers/firewalls that are having the problem. Dunno. Personally I think that the PB Init and No packet flow errors are both symtoms of the same problem. I expect there is a timeout that is happenning. If we had a list of time vars we could set, we could do some experimentation to see if doubling one solves the issue.
The big thing is that we get enough legit reports from different servers to get Even Balance's attention. Please refer whomever you can to the other thread if they have legitamately been kicked with this problem.
If you can create a problem report request thread and refer any of the subforums you've seen over to that other thread, that would help....
I've done so in RtCW, COD and EliteForces. If some one could get ET for me and any other Q3 based games out there (Including Q3) that use Punkbuster, I'd appreciate it (evenbalance has a list on their index page). Try to word it in such a way that it is obviously not a spam/crossover thread but a legitimate on topic thread.
Capt. QueegSpartan is your machine < 1.5 ghz? How much memory? I think PB Init is a time out that happens when you get into a game slower. I've heard that it happens when you are killed and you are still 999....
Just rumors at this point....
Oops, I guess I forgot to post my specs- 2.4 GHz and 512 MB RAM. But, as I said, it only just started doing this a few days ago. (and nothing was changed in my setup to cause this). At least this has only happened a few times on two different servers. It is annoying, but I can live with it.
If you haven't already, can you toss a note in the other thread too? Thanks!
