Im not much of a tech person, so my question is: What is the difference between the GeForce 6800 GT OC and the GeForce 6800 Ultra OC besides the price?.

Usually and I think in this case also, the Ultra cards have a higher core operating speed and faster memory.

So far people testing the 6800GT's say they will OC to the 6800 Ultra specs and the 6800GT's tests have shown very similar performance between the GT and the Ultra cards. This might change later with driver tweaking but right now the 6800GT seems to run almost as fast as the 6800 Ultra out of the box.

And the 6800GT is $100 cheaper :), but they are all sold out everywhere. :(

I have another question, which card is better, the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra or the GeForce 6800 GT?

FX5950 and Down are not Nvidias Best Product. The 6800GT ownz the 6800non-ultra which owns the 9800xt which ownz the 5950. So here you have a little chart to go by. 6800ultra>6800GT>6800>9800XT>5950

ah great, thanks. You have the 6800GT, tell me about it, and I think I might have to upgrade my power supply to get a 6800GT, right now I have a GeForce FX5200 Ultra in an Alienware Area-51 system.

The nVidia GeForce 6800 chips differ in the following ways:

6800 Ultra - Top of the range, 16 pixel pipelines 6800GT - Slightly cheaper than Ultra, reduced core and memory clock speeds, 16 pixel pipelines 6800 (plain) - Same as Ultra, but only 12 pixel pipelines At this moment in time, I haven't been able to find out if the plain card will perform better than the GT or the other way around. If you want the absolute best, go for the Ultra.

Guru3d.com has benchmarks on all the new gengeration cards, and it shows that the 6800 plain is just about the same as last generations cards.*9800xt and 5950ultra*...My 6800GT pnwz every game ive thrown at it, but i have a certain way of mixing just the right amount of AA/AF and high settings so that i play with a max framerate and the most beautiful graphics. I used to play Call Of Duty on Intel Extreme Graphics card, and my friends thought I had a GF4 in there, because of my settings. with around 40FPS.:smokin:
