I've heard that Spinpoint F1 drives can be easily currupted and data lost when used with nVidia chipsets. Anyone have a personal experience with this, or know for a fact that it happens? I've also been told that to fix the problem command queing must be disabled in Device Manager. How exactly is this done. I can see lists galore of properties, but nowhere to edit any. I ask because one of my desktops used a Spinpoint with an nVidia board. I haven't had any issues yet, but just to be on the safe side... Thanks.

From what I've read it may depend on the size of drive you bought and/or how you set it up. The 1TB drives seem to have the most problems. One person suggested if you have problems to try using the MS Vista drivers for the Nvidia chipset, if you're running Vista that is. Apparently the Nvidia controller is not as reliable with Nvidia's driver. I'm sure if there is a problem with the drive working with Nvidia chipsets Samsumg will come out with a firmware update, in fact I would look on their site for one, it may already exist.
