Agree about ditching the 8600 and perhaps a bit better PS. It takes a bit more than $660 to build a decent gaming rig. Anything under $1000 is considered to be a bang for the buck price range for gaming. You can assemble a pretty good rig even at that limit though.

His build is pretty nifty still, and he can still upgrade. Nice mobo choice by the way :s

Uh, so yeah I built everything... and it wont turn on. My friend and I checked the manual and everything from the PSU is plugged into the mobo/drives as they should be. Its set to 115V, Fan speed 2 and on and it wont turn on... could I have gotten a failed PSU and have to return it? Im gonna go around town and have some people look at it tomorrow to make sure, but what do ou guys think

Yes, but he's already bought it, built it, and now having a strange problem, if you want to give him advice, give him some that pertains to the current situation.

No, nothging came on. But thats okay

Now its working, I had to take it to two places; a Lan gaming store, and a local pc repair shop where a guy bitched at me for an hour because newegg is stealing peoples jobs, just complained that they are the walmart of electronics.

Anyway, got it to work, but I am currently having a problem, but its something I can fix on my own. My Vista Ultimate disc wont work :) :) :)!!! But Im in the middle of obtaining a new one right now, so I'll have it up and running possibly tomorrow. And once I install Bioshock, Ill let you know how it goes

BTW, what are the best PC Games out there now? I played CoH before I got this computer, adn am considering the expansion, but what else is out besides Bioshock, CoH, and ...huh... well anyone?
