I'm trying to do a Microsoft System Restore through Software Repair Wizard, but I keep getting a message saying:

RunLink

Run-time error '429':

ActiveX component can't create object

That's exactly the message. A brief web search revealed that the problem could have been caused by the absense of a file supposedly included on my Windows XP. But, of course, it seems no one else had this problem with SRW. So, any help would be appreciated, and it would massively increase my opinion of you, not that that matters to you.

I don't think you did it properly.

What didn't I do properly? I click on the shortcut, select 'System Restore' and the error pops up.

I've had the same exact error with other things, so is there a general solution to these problems?
