Does any one no if it is possible to partition a 120gb hard drive into 80gb and 40gb and join the 80gb partition with another 80gb hard drive to use a RAID 0 80gb x2 configuration?

Thanks for the link, but that is RAID 1. Does any know about RAID 0?

Heres a Link I found in Google.

ACNC Raid Configurations info

Linux can do it, using software 105.IBM.Com Software RAID in Linux 2.4

You can't do it from most BIOS'. They can't control "Partitions".

So you can. The only thing that I am still wondering about is what happens when you try to transfer from the raid to the other partition on one of the disks. I just don't want to spend 3 hours messing around with my computer if somthing goes very wrong.

It will work like transfering a file from one partition to the other.

Or copying a file from one partition, and another file from another HD, to another partition on one drive, or the other... Sometimes I confuse myself... :D

There are known compatiblity issues with RAID and Windows... So I wouldn't recommend it yet...
