Intel extreme = Onboard Onboard= slow 256 Mb is not good either. How much money would you spent, for a new Video card and for Ram?

darkworksmy intel extreme graphics

That's your biggest obstacle to playing CoD2 with high settings. All the ram in the world won't fix that. Get a decent video card. People here could recommend some depending on what you can spend and your interface.

But, yes, get more ram as 256mb is way too low. 512mb would be a bare minimum for gaming.

If your looking to run it at High you are going to need to throw some serious money at it. COD2 is a very demanding game and is right up there with F.E.A.R.

New Processor. New RAM. New Video Card.

You don't have a hope of running without some form of lag with that system. Upgrade to a Pentium 4 and add another 256mb of RAM. (Or more, if you want to bring it up to 1gb.)

As for the video card, a 6600GT can be had relatively cheaply these days, and it's an excellent performer for the price.

Intel Celeron?

You need a pentium 4 or better or COD2 to run decent. Plus you need more ram to make the game run smoother, what kind of graphic card slot does your mother board use?

I'd say just buy a whole new PC that one right there wont play any of the games that are out right now. As for your mate that said "ya" he is TOTALLY wrong.

I agree, however, you would be better off building/buying a whole new computer if you go this route
