What brand of ram would be the most reliable? I was looking more into an A-Data dual 512DDR 400. I don't want a repeat incident of today when the ram just died for no reason. So any suggestions would be nice.
Corsair. Get 1 gb too. :nodding:
Whats your buget?
Yeah Corsair is the best,do you care how much you are going to pay for them?
I'll say Corsair also. 1GB (2 sticks of 512MB) of Corsair RAM is only $73. Check my link... you really can't beat that stuff for the price.
Corsair. for sure. avoid kingston, i hear horror stories about it
Well I love this thread. Honestly I do. Corsair w00t w00t! But yeah get some Corsair. Best stuff. Get some Corsair XMS and you be set. Great ram.
But Corsair costs a heck of a lot here. Corsair TwinX XL Dual Channel Kit 2x 512MB PC3200 DDR (400Mhz) Memory Highperformance XL Series (2-2-2-5) for $375 (nz)! But the A-Data Dual Channel kit 2x 512MB PC3200 DDR (400MHz) Memory only costs $149. I only have around $279 NZ to screw around with :(
OCZ or corsair like everyone else. Just make sure you read some reviews on the ram before you buy, you could get screwed over. Always try and go for the better stuff like the OCZ gold sticks or Corsair XMS. They run around $130US(183 NZ) a gig, but they are very good with low timings.
OCZ ram reviews Corsair ram reviews
Never skip on decent ram, save the money up and get decent Corsair ram.
I made the stupid decision to buy GeiL Ram, and it's pretty slow.
