Intel has finally caught up to its 64-bit competitors. Intel has released a line of 64-bit Pentium 4's... the 600 series. They run up to 3.6GHz... thats a full GHz faster than the fastest of AMD's 64-bit's. Intel also released a 3.73GHz version of the P4 Extreme Edition.

Cool. We'll see how they compare with the FX series in gaming :)

http://www.cnet.com/4520-6022_1-5670788-1.html?tag=cnetfd.wk It also says in a related article that they will release Dual Core P4 EE's in the second quarter of 2004. With HT-tech enabled, they'll be able to handle four threads simultaniously.

Sweet I want one of them. What socket are they running on? LGA775? None on newegg, yet. Good timing too since I will probably get a new mobo/processor this fall.

http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2353 Here are some benchmarks, amd 64's still beat them out in gaming of course but they actually perform pretty good.
