Recently I was trying to install Real player on my laptop and I've come across a curious problem. During the installation it gives me a message saying that as a restricted user I don't have permission to install programs. I've checked and I've got administrator rights on my laptop though so I cannot figure out why this is happening. My laptop is running Windows XP home. Any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.

Update: Sadly I still haven't been able to successfully install Real Player onto my laptop. I'm still being told that I lack the access as a restricted user even though my account on my laptop is set as administrator. Anyone have any solutions on how to fix this??

Sorry, no idea about how to actually fix it, but until then, you may give a try to Real Alternative, if you only need to read files and don't mind much about which player you use.
