Allright kiddies remember the last post on my laptop? Well, now I wanted to change who the computer's registered to, me, but im bothered that my name is spelled wrong, so, I go to start>run> and regedit>etc.>etc. and then the regedit screen will popup, and before I can move the mouse, it closes before I get a chance to do anything, now, any ideas on what I should do?

nothing to do with your problem, iv had this before.

_____________ do us a favor and press control alt delete. in the processes window destroy or close/crash, any backround programs (probally a virus or spyware). if the task manager dosent open, or does the same thing regedit is doing, go into safe mode, run anti virus and spyware programs to get rid of them. reboot and it should solve it. whats causing it is backround programs, to stop the somewhat computer inteligent people from having them running. 20 bucks says ctrl alt del dosent open either. safe mode man, you can get there by hitting F8 at the boot screen. if you unsure when to press it just keep hitting it. dont use safe mode with command prompt, standaard safe mode. good luck, some spyware refuses to leave a system.
