I have two computers; one of them got a error saying ‘registry file failure’. The computer was new so I phoned up Dell (it’s a dell pc)( I have a lot) and they said how to get it working. However they said that I would lose all my data which I don’t want to lose. So I put the hard drive in my other Dell pc but I can’t get in to My Documents it says ‘Access denied’ and the file is empty. I have a password on the pc, would that be stopping me getting in? It’s a XP SP 2.

Are the file systems the same time? FAT32/NTSF.

Also Dell and Geek Squad's immediate solutions are to format your computer.
