I'll be upgrading my graphics cards in preps to move to 4x 20" widescreen monitors. I currently run 2 x 7770's. I do a lot of video rendering and photo editing so I know a set of Firepro's or Quadro's would work wonders for that, but I also do a large amount of gaming and gaming footage capture. I currently have a AMD FX-8350 (4GHz) and 16GB of DDR3. Looking for ideas/recommendations for graphics upgrades for my machine. I do believe I have a 850-900W PSU installed currently and I have no problem increasing my PSU size to accommodate larger more power hungry cards. I will also be upgrading my case to a Blackhawk or 800/900D to allow larger cards to fit and route my cables better. My Rosewill Smartcase has served me well...time to upgrade!

How much are you looking to spend roughly, out of curiosity?

Whelp...including my two 7770s and the power supply I got for them...I spent upwards of 400-ish. So...I'd be willing to drop 500-600 me thinks. I like multiple ideas from all price points. It's how I shop for a lot of things...lol.

Maybe something to think about is the increasing popularity of 4k screens and upcoming virtual reality headsets (which seem to be limited to HD curently but will eventually also get 4k displays). Pretty sure one of the two will be the standard for future gaming.

Also, even the best cards available today struggle with 4k resolutions. I think software and hardware design for graphic cards will change as higher resolutions become more mainstream.
