No luck. Not a trace to be found of Outlook under and neither anything in outlooks main install dir. :(

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh I'm going to cut myself now.

well when it coems to data recovery, it is limated when it comes down to it if it was due to a error in on the hard drive you might have bina ble to recover some data that is what most recovory programs do is ubscrambel data that has bin scrambled but since it was deleated "right" by deleating the folder not from a EMP shock resolting in scrambled data it is hard to do with "free" software

i know there is a place in CA that will take your hard drive disk CD whatever it may be and pick it apart and restor your data but i dont remember the name it was on 20/20 about the US gov spending millions on data recovery jsut for its employes lost data.

THE RECYCLE BIN!!!

The files were moved to the recycle bin, so that is where they are probably at. Under the Deleted tree of the Recycle bin.

Hmm I think I checked everywhere (also letted the program search for .pst without luck) but I will have an other look. I think I will just have to tell my dad his email stuff is lost forever.

You are on winxp ? would the system restore help out on this level ? I would try and restore the pc back to a day or two previous to the incident .....it may restore the lost .pst.
