Ok quick question, i bought a SATA 3.0gb HD and i forgot it was OEM so all i have is a normal SATA cable. If i want the full power of it, will i need to by a SATA cable or will it make a difference?

Or, if you didn't get a word he just said.

Your SATA cable is fine, as they are all the same and the difference between SATAII is dependant on the drive, and has nothing to do with compabilities with your motherboard, or cable.

Be sure to remove the jumper from the back of the drive if your motherboard can support transfer rates of 3GB/s (flawed anyway).
