saving pictures off the internet 7 replies

Ok whenever I try to save a pic from the internet it comes up as a art or a bmp so i save and my default is microsoft office picture manager. So it opens and theres just a square with a red X in it. What am i doing wrong?

try refreshing the page and then trying to save it

if that doesnt work then open the picture in its own window try saving it agian if that doesnt work then refresh agian

the same thing happens to me i just refresh till it works usually after the second time it works

When the save as box comes up, change the file type scroll box to .jpg

hey smurf! this is a problem all internet explorer users have from time to time and i actually don't know exactly what it's caused by. but the only way to save the pictures as true jpg's again is to clear your temporary internet files. go to "extras" in your IE toolbar, click "internet options" and click "delete files" in the "temporary internet files"- section. you DON'T have to click "delete cookies", if you delete the cookies, all cookies from sites that remember your passwords, i.e. like GamingForums, will be deleted.

Just press the frickking "Print Screen" Button! Then put it in MsPaint. Save it. Wola.

It's "voila", Apocalypse.

When you are given the box to save the picture to a location on your computer's hard drive, click the down arrow next to "save as type" or "type" and choose something like .jpg or .gif. Have fun.

The problem with that is that it takes a picture of the entire screen. He just wants to download certain images on some pages...

You see when I go to change the file type its only has bmp and art. Thanks FreakNasty im actually using AOL(sucks) but ill mess around with that on IE. thnkas
