well i thought that the best way to stay in touch with the newest hardware is to sell your old when it's still new enough to get some decent money for it.

now, i have no idea of how much would this machine cost so i'm asking you to estimate the price (in euros please). oh, also, i'm having some hardware problems and i took this machine to the service guy 3 times now and he hasn't found a problem, yet problems occur. but yesterday when i got there to pick it up he said that if any problems occur, he can just build a similiar computer, rather than fixing it. anyway, if he fixes it or gives me a new one, i'll sell it but i'll probably get more money for the new one, right?

so tell me price for both versions (the new and the used one).

so if i get enough money for that machine i'll buy a new one, although with only 1 gb of ram (maybe 2 if i get enough money), 160gb disk and later buy another one (linux + windows dont like eachother on 1 disk so that's why 2 disks) and i never really needed dvd-r + dvd-rw units so only dvd-rw for now.

Yes you would get more money for the new one. But you would most certainly get more money for it by parting it out (selling each individual part on ebay etc). So if he builds you a new one, ask if you can have the boxes the parts came in so you can sell the parts as new.

Huh yeah, whatever ^^

That would be cheating, huh ? Selling stuff as new when it's not ...

I would upgrade your system you have now. Its still plently fast, sure its not a Core 2, but its not slow either. Put a 7950, or a 8600-8800 in there and it will be plently fast for new games.

What problems are you having with it?
