After a fresh instal of Windows XP and Service Pack 2, I can not seem to install call of duty properly. The game loads and it says it's missing over a thousand sound files. Also the menu doesn't load corectly. What do I do? Is this even related to SP2? I know this forum says "No gaming related issues" but this is more of a Service Pack 2 problem then a game related issue.

That's what he's having trouble doing. Reinstalling, after the SP2 install.

Hmmm, if your CD isn't scratched, and you CD-Rom drive and HD are okay, then it may very well be SP2.

What Anti-Virus are you using? What Anti Ad-Ware/Spyware program? Could be a Virus/Trojan Horse.

Try updating Windows XP SP2, and getting a newer version of the Windows Installer.

The Admins said to add this icon icon4.gif to your post, to help them find posts in the wrong place faster. Or double posts, or the like.
