You can customize most any case with simple mosquito netting. I did with mine. It had a coarse foam filter on the front that didn't trap dust well and actually blocked air from coming in more than the netting. I just bought about a half yard of it in black for $1.50 at a local shop that sells tent fabrics. I wrapped it around the filter basket and secured it with two hair bands. The plastic basket itself snaps in and out. I just pop the front off the case and vac it about once a month. It keeps the dust way down inside the case.

I may try doing something like that. I did something vaguely similar with some netting, but it's duck-taped on, and should by no means be permanent. something that can snap or slide off to be quickly rinsed, vacuumed, or blown off would be ideal.

I think he's saying he was a member of the network sites for years, and left comments in the POTD sections there, but just joined the forums.

Would you guys stop with your intermittent stuttering and get back OT. It's not contributing anything to the problem mentioned.

Hi again. I purchased a tube of coolermaster htk-002 thermal paste for about 4 USD, I thought it would be sufficient enough for my purpose.

Now my temps are running almost 10 degrees hotter than with the stock stuff. Is this normal? It hit 84 degrees while running gta4 and it was stuttering from the start. Something is wrong.

That wouldn't surprise me. You get what you pay for, and I guarantee Intel's stock Thermal Paste would be better.

Besides that, you may not have put enough on, may have put to much on, may not have applied it properly, or the heatsink isn't seated properly.

Either you didn't put it on correctly or the grease isn't great. And I think it's probably a combination of both.
