My sisters friend gave her a dell 4100 with 996mhz comp for free. it has an ATI rage 128 pro AGP 4x , and it came with win 2000 when they bought it. Now right now on my newer computer (dell 4550) i have 64meg geforce 4 MX w/ tv out which would be better in my computer for gaming (she said we could switch)
yes, anything above a geforce FX is pretty good, preferrable a 5700 or higher, i have a 5950 ultra in my other comp and it works great. The only problem with dells is that they are hard to replace parts for, if your having trouble i suggest you just scrap the whole computer and build yourself one.
nah its a good gaming computer i am saying
geforce 4 64mb MX --or-- ATI rage 128 pro
What is the speed in MHz of the second computer?
Rage 128 is totally inadequate for any gaming and Im inclined to say I would nt want to play any games of the last year with a Geforce MX either.
You need at least an ATI Radeon 9000 to get good preformance...
wow. dudes what would be more ideal, ATI rage 128 pro agp 4x or Nvida geforce 4 MX 420 64mb ??i do not know what i should have, just what outa the 2 would be better.
I just built my new computer. I'm running a 2.8 ghz Pentium 4 Hyper Threading Overclocked to 3.6 Ghz with a 256 MB, 256 Bit ATI Radeon 9800. An it rocks I play anythign online at max graphics without lag.
the mx 420.
is the ATI rage 128 pro a 128 MB vido card? cause if it is 128 is way better than a 64. but u should still get a better vid card if u get the money or yull never be able to play the newer games there commin out with. but use the 128 if it is a 128mb vid card k
soo the GPU that is newer by one year and has half as much memory is better? hows that work?
