I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. I have been getting a message saying that the process "Shellcon Hidden Window" is still running anytime that I go to shutdown my computer. I have done some reading and have seen that musicmatch is supposedly the culprit. The thing is, I do not have it running in the system tray, I do not run it daily and the last time I used it was a few days ago. I only use it occasionally to convert my CD's to MP3's or to burn a music CD. Any ideas on how I can get rid of the message without uninstalling MMJB?
I don't have MusicMatch but you might want to check the "run" section of your registry (I'm assuming your using Windows) and see what applications are being loaded on start-up. The easiest way to manage this section of the registry is via the "System Configuration Utility". This can be accessed by "Start" -> "Run" -> type "msconfig" and "OK". This will launch the "System Configuration Utility" window and from here select the "Startup" tab. You will now be presented with all of the applications that are loaded in the background when Windows initially startsup.
Yeah, even programs that you havn't run and programs without a system tray (or one that's disabled) will still start up either the program itself (to make launching it faster when it's needed) or one of it's parts when the system starts.
