SeanKK32Hmm,thats what I thought. I guess I'll get one.. I saw the cellfactor E3 video.. its pretty savage. I have the cellfactor demo, but it wont play without a physX card.. theres no options.. everything is just blank :(

Thats why i think everyone is stupid who thinks they can get away with playing cell factor without a physics card.

It would be cheaper getting it already built into your Dell XPS, games such as Half-Life 2 use this technology, but do not neccessarily need it. It would also take some of the strain off your graphics card when dealing with freeform objects in games like GRAW. I think that water effects in games can be controlled by PhysX cards instead of your graphics card, freeing the graphics card up for other stuff.

Do it if you have the money.

If you have the money then you should just get it.

I just wait till' CF comes out on 360 :) I get the physics w/o the card :D

Plus, all the PhysX card does is render more advanced stuff like Cloth and Liquid physics, any comp can do object physixs.

Here are some factors that will determine if the PhysX is for you:

-you plan to play Unreal Tournament 2007

-you want the ultimate pc gaming experience

-your a hxc gamer

-you have some cash laying around.

Thats about it :)

Forgot to add one: -you don't want to constantly be upgrading a card.

I am excited by the Ageia PhysX card not becuase I think it is a good product but because of the technological revolution it is bringing behind it.

I would not get a PhysX card just yet, I would wait til Microsoft releases their Direct Physics which is rumoured to be part of DirectX 10.1, the first version of Direct X that is planned after Vista with its DirectX 10.

Also there is talk that Havok will release a competing Physics aceleration card. This would cause prices to drop and probably cause a performance price war such as seen with ATI/Nvidia and Intel/AMD.

Right now there is not much support but probably in less than a year from now Physics will be in most games.
