I'm currently using a 21" LCD screen and I've never looked back.

Frankly I'm using computers quite a bit during the day and my monitor has a sharp, clear, crisp image, NO flicker at all (so I get far less headaches) and no sunlight reflects off it at all. It's also nice to have less things like the high pitched sound CRT monitors make when they are in use or being switched on. My LCD is perfectly silent and it gives me much more desk room. Frankly I'd never go back to a CRT now.

I got a 19" widescreen about 3 weeks ago, the difference in price was literally about £20.

But which one is better, widescreen or 4:3 letterbox? since games now offer you to play in widescreen.

Widescreen is better IMO, for everything I do. Which goes from web design to programming to playing games to watching TV/movies.

Yup. It's widescreen hands down.

Once you go widescreen, you won't want to go back.
