I recently had to reformat my HDD because of some random gay problem with SP2. I've got all my settings and programs back to how I used to have them except for my DVD software. I did have InterVideo WinDVD Player which came bundled with my Graphics Card but I can't find the CD anymore, so I was wondering if there are any free alternatives to playing DVD's, and is there a codec for WMP to do the job? Thanks in advance.

If you don't want to spend any money, this here is a good alternative.

Most DVD codecs cost money.... the good ones anyway. I would go to download.com or something (I doubt filefront has any to offer), and search for 'free DVD codec'. nVidia and ATI offer their DVD codecs to download from their website, but I think all you'll be able to get from there is a free trial. Perhaps if you email them (ATI or nVidia, depending on what card you have), they will point you in the right direction where do download the codec, or send you a new CD. eBay would be a good place to look also.
