I recently had to reformat my HDD because of some random gay problem with SP2. I've got all my settings and programs back to how I used to have them except for my DVD software. I did have InterVideo WinDVD Player which came bundled with my Graphics Card but I can't find the CD anymore, so I was wondering if there are any free alternatives to playing DVD's, and is there a codec for WMP to do the job? Thanks in advance.
be better off Rebuying Windvd. thay have got this USBremote that alows u to use a remote with your computer(there remote) it just dose not work with WinDVD but u can use it as a mouse!
If you don't want to spend any money, this here is a good alternative.
or a codec will work to.
sry , I didn't know just a codec would work.
PowerDVD and also i thought u could just play a DVD in WNP anyway?, im sure i can and ive never downloaded any codecs for it
Eagle: K-Lite-mega-codecpack.. perhaps? Anyways i would also go for Powerdvd
well when it comes to codecs it takes more time to find one thats not all buggy so i say go ut buy a copy of windvd u can buy it online and downlaod it or if u want to get it shiped to u (7days)
Just get PowerDVD. I have it one my windows computer and I like it.
Most DVD codecs cost money.... the good ones anyway. I would go to download.com or something (I doubt filefront has any to offer), and search for 'free DVD codec'. nVidia and ATI offer their DVD codecs to download from their website, but I think all you'll be able to get from there is a free trial. Perhaps if you email them (ATI or nVidia, depending on what card you have), they will point you in the right direction where do download the codec, or send you a new CD. eBay would be a good place to look also.
