When I hook it up to my computer, it detects all of the songs on iTunes, saying that I have x number of songs on my iPod, and all of them are able to play. However, when I eject and disconnect it, there are no songs on it. I've tried a hard drive restoration and sync, but to no avail. How do I fix this?

What format are the songs in that your trying to move over to your iPod? (doubt thats it, but you never know) Either that, or have you ever plugged your iPod into another computer?

I'm a little stumped on this one, but I am going to go with RadioRob on the formating deal. Are your songs in iTunes an unsupported format on the iPod? Otherwise I think your iPod may be going down the pooper. What generation iPod is it?

It's a 30GB Video, and the songs are .mp3s, as they should be. My computer is registered.

I've already tried syncing it several times.
