depends on the game most game sound is based off the audigy line you have audigy 4 u are set but the games that use X-fi you will need a X-fi board to run those sound settings.

Are sound cards really worth it? As opposed to integrated.

Depends.

If you are an audiophile, then yes.

They also provide a slight performance increase in games. (As they have their own sound processors, and don't rely on the CPU)

Don't bother switching from the Audigy 4 to an X-Fi. The X-Fi is better for music, but the price tag isn't justafied to the amount of sound performance you might gain.

Not worth it.

Just get some decent quality speakers.

Yup, spend the extra coin on quality speakers. I love my Logi z-5500's. What are you hoping to get out of the X-Fi's that your not getting from your Audigy? If you don't even know, that I wouldn't, unless a hole is burning in your pocket and/or you just want that bragging right. Not justifyable in my opinion.

Another vote on putting the money towards speakers.

X-Fi is nice, but you're fine.
