Hi all, I just dumped my old desktop speakers and hooked up a set of nice speakers with a subwoofer. Man what a difference. I should have done that a long time ago. Now I am thinking of getting a good sound card. I am looking for suggestions. Nothing real expensive but something that will perform better then my onboard sound card. My system is a 2.4 gig with 512 ram and a PCI expansion slot. I also do online gaming. Thanks for any suggestions. Planemech

I take it you only need 3.5mm jacks? M-Audio Revolution 7.1 would be my reccomendation. That or one of the cheaper Creative X-Fi cards.

Heh, the sub makes a huge difference, i remember when i first got a setup with a sub, it was amazing.

I have a Creative Audigy 2 ZS and it sounds pretty good, worlds better than onboard. and i don't think there that expensive right now either.
