Ok. So I bought a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card the other day. I have a standard 2.5 or 3.5 mm plug mic. I have it in the right port but whenever I get on Teamspeak it makes this god awful noise. Im gonna get off for the night and see if my computer being shut down for a while and allowed to cool off will that affect it. Anyone know of a solution that actually works?

Have you:

a) uninstalled the drivers for your on-board/integrated sound device? b) selected the sound card as your default voice recording device in the "Sounds and Audio Devices" menu in the control panel?

I got it to work without having to reinstall drivers or switch to onboard audio Simple enough to just have my computer reboot.

I'm guessing you never rebooted after you installed the drivers?

You should always reboot after installing any kind of device drivers, it may not say you have too, but Windows usually works better if you do.
