Hi, I was wondering if someone had a spare Home premium key they were not using? I know it's a lost to ask, but I have no money and I lost my key! Thanks in advance!

You should be contacting Microsoft, there's nothing we can do to help other than to suggest that you always keep a copy of your keys and serials in a safe location.

You could always try one of the free Linux distros.

If your system is still installed and running, I think Belarc Advisor can tell you which key is entered in its report...

I'm positive there are other programs that can retrieve your key from a Windows install. It has to be a working install though.

If your up and running, look into that. If not, Microsoft may be able to tell you it or give you one as long as you prove that you do own a legal copy.

I have legal copy, but I installed it without the key since it said I didn't need to enter it. I'm also up and running, my vista wasn't pre-installed on my computer, I got the upgrade, I used to have XP on it. Now I only got 3 days left to enter a key. Also I don't mean I lost just my key like I lost the whole box including cd's and the reciet (was inside the box). So i'm not sure I could call microsoft about it without any of that.

Call Microsoft.

This is not a place to discuss cracks or other methods of circumventing or subverting copy protection schemes. As Riles noted, you should take better care of your information in the future. I will also second that this appears to be a fine time to try out a free Linux distro...
