ok, adware 6.0, spybot search and destoy, spy sweeper and BHOdemon do not work at getting rid of the spyware called: HOMEOldSP and/or CoolWWW/coolwebs

It sets my homepage to "About:Blank" which is redirecting or something to an unknown website (still says About:Blank.) It also brings up popups. does anyone have a program or solution to getting rid of this extreamly anoying spyware?

Are you absolutely sure it is spyware and not a virus or something else? I assume you have run a virus scanner. If not, at least try http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp.

Also, before running Adaware other related programs, try in the settings folder "Folder Options", View, and clicking on "Show hidden files and folders". May pick a few more up, works for me.

Boot in safe mode (F8 while booting) to eliminate running processes that isnt vital to windows. Run a complete scan from whatver removal clients you use, reboot when finished, and repeat once more. Some percistant spywares will recopy itself on your computer if you havnt removed everything.
