Ok, I have decided to reblow my PC, but to try and keep my important files on it... I have inserted the windows XP disk, and am at the windows XP sort of set up thing... It has a list of partitions, I selected C:/ but it says it is too full... How can I delete stuff from it without actually loging onto my pc? (because it doesnt get that far).
the thing is... you can't... but i wonder why it would tell you that though... it should install over the existing windows... well I can't really help you with that... it wouldv'e been okay if you had 2 partitions, one for windows and one for files so you can format the windows one but... now i am out of ideas! dont give up though if the files are really important because i dont want to force you to format...
You could probably look up some of the DOS commands to delete stuff off of the C Drive and delete some unnecessary program file folders (If you know what they are).
I wonder why i didn't think of that OF COURSE!
just put in a boot disk and go to dos then use dos commands to free space!
Ex: C:>del *folder adress*
Ah, Phew, I managed to repair all the corrupt and missing windows files.
Quite clever for a 12 year old, eh? :P
Congratulations! well you're certainly better than most adults trying to fix their computer...
They post their problem then re-post that they have made it worse.........
or some people just don't understand what you tell them (technical wise)
Good job!
The younger you are, the easier these 'New-Fangled' computers for them...
yup... I mean I'm 15 and computer problems are easy for me... because young people lived most of their lives with technology availlable while adults these days have not...
Sorry to go offtopic but who the hell is GF?
