I downloaded this file called:"otolikos_normandy_mappack_server_files" and everytime I try to delete it, I get this error message saying that it's in use by another person or program. What program is still open? I restarted the PC, but that didn't solve anything either. How do I delete this!? Thanks...

UPDATE: I just tried deleting it in safe mode to no avail. Now this is getting really irritating... :uhm:

Where is it located? At a first thought, it sounds like a virus. Trojan Horses especially behave that way.

EDIT: Nevermind, I finally deleted it by using this nifty program aptly named "Dr. Delete". It deletes the file AFTER you reboot so none of the programs get in the way of deletion.

Sometimes it happens. Often its because your HD is still trying to read the file, and delete it at the same time, so it just hangs. I've had this problem in the past. Often this only happens with large files, so never try to just delete a large file, over and over, or you'll get that message, because it has so many deletion processes trying to get rid of it.

'Dreadnought[DK']... or an old-fashioned dos deletion.

I love DOS Deletions...

CD C:\

Delete *.* Try it today!!! :nodding:

I'll just Delete the File using Knoppix, or Mepis. some people might like the KDE GUI better than the DOS text mode.

That was assuming you were typing the command from a directory Otherthan the C: drive. :D

Specifically the CD-ROM drive, which is usually D:... ;)

Actually, I just felt like posting something stupid.
