You could also consider a 7600GS which is a little cheaper but I'm fairly certain an X850 would give it a good seeing too anyway.

Can't ya make your own topic instead of hijacking 2 or 3 and expecting me to know each part from each topic to build up a view of everything you want?

And on that note, posts split from original thread.

BrontoX, kindly don't hijack other peoples threads, especially not with a completely different scenario.

Leadtek WinFast A7600GT TDH 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card $173 Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814122009

I don't have a bench handy, but a 7600gt would destroy an x700 in any benchmark.

In another thread, you were wanting to change your ram from 2x256mb to 2x512mb in addition to getting a new gpu. If you get this videocard, you may want to save up another $40-$50 for ram as 1gb of ram is running around $100-$115 for the regular (not uber overclockable) stuff.

example: CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit $105 Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440

Yes, but as you've got $150 you'll be better off getting a higher end card than that.

X800XT would be a good buy. Look for an X850PE, but expect a huge price jump.
