Got some intel quad core vantage scores to compare that to? I'm interested to see if it keeps up with them clock-for-clock now. (Not the i7, just the penryns). Not that vantage means that much; however, would be interesting to see for sure.

Those scores look pretty impressive compared to the original Phenom, lets hope that real in-game performance has improved just as much. If so, i might have to get one since i have a perfectly good AM2+ system sitting here not getting used.

2kow_ciller, jjz- & Apollo : ciller : that's one of those forums i saw, yeah. Though it's much more thorough - there r Pi, Sandra, CPU-Z, etc... scores. The point is that i looking for the most effective cooling & the fact that i got 9950 so far. Good job m8, nevertheless. jjz-, Apollo : keep suggesting heatsink/fan combos & i'll hopefully conduct my own Phenom OC World Record & than compare it to oc'ed penryns/i7's, deal ? :)

World record OC? lol. If you want a world record OC, I suggest you go and get a copper pot, a shitload of neoprene, some acetone, dielectric gel, and some LN2. Along with new ram, and motherboard. =p

edit: btw, which motherboard do you have?

M3N-HT Deluxe. As for world record, it was just a phrase from me. Never really meant it for real, of course. More of "my" world record. :) 3.4GHz on Phenom 99500 is all i really crave for. Than again - i really keen of doing it. Back to topic : Tt's BigTyp is worshiped in Israel for OC, Xigmatek on the other hand is something that need to be order - not much interest for it in this country. :( By the time i'll get a salary this stuff will be bought though - hurry up to answer that, m8. BVesides, i am experimenting with OC, nothing serious so far. Please don't be so dramatic on me. jk

Good luck with that Nvidia chipset. From what I've heard on the AMD side, AMD chipsets are better for overclocking but you should be able to get some nice clocks anyway. Btw, it shows why the Big Typhoon is a big hit in israel. Nobody in israel is very good at overclocking =p

Yes, more than that actually : when i asked for guidence in that subject, the persons prefered to play snobs with me rather than help. Hopefully i'll be if not pioneer, than the one that will change the subject and be the one entitled "the 1st serious overclocker/voltager in Israel" or s**t like that. Back to topic, what's your final heatsink/fan combo suggestion of the day ? M8, i'm serious. Order Xigmatek or BigTyp ? Eagerly await. :)

Xigmatek. Try and go for one like this though so it wont block your ram slots.

I will post back with a review of that heat sink a few days. Then again my 430 watt Antec PSU may just say no to a X2 +4800, 6gb of ram, and a 4850. I am looking at a 650 watt version from Antec.
