I've noticed my computer has been running very slugish so I opened up WTM and saw there was 12 of this program called Svchost. It is taking up a lot of my memory so I'm thinking this is my problem?

What is this program and is it okay to close it?

It's a process that runs programs that use dynamic library files.

svchost is merely a holder that holds multiple processes

either go to the commandline and run tasklist /m to see what's in them or get the sysinternals process explorer Process Explorer

Okay thanks guys. I'm thinking I should just leave this stuff alone...

Maybe I'll reformat my computer and see what that does. Ugh what a headache that's going to be:uhoh:
