I'm trying to get this computer back up and running...really It's one among many....

This computer had a ram problem and a CD rom reading problem... I just replaced the the CD rom with a WR and I started to bring the computer on-line after replacing the ram

KVR ram...but now it's giving me this error in dos "NTLDR IS MISSING PRESS ANY KEY TO RESTART...

I've put the other ram back in it and it still does the same thing. Any ideas here!

If it doesn't take you to the right bit then you want 'Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file' and then 'Windows XP users'. If you're not using XP (and therefore can't use repair) then it's probably easier to just reinstall the OS.

It's not difficult. The only thing you really have to remember is that it's best to do a complete format and install, which completely wipes the hard disc. You can just install if you need to keep stuff that's on there, but it's not ideal.
