Hey guys this is my self plug lol

Anyway I am getting into reviewing products and started out with NHL 11 (I got it early)

and just put up two reviews on the PS3 and iPod touch 3rd generation, hoping to get some PC stuff as well.

You can check out my reviews @ my site Tech Rampage Reviews

my youtube channel: YouTube - TechRampageReviews's Channel (Don't have any videos for hardware... YET)

I will also be opening up a forum if I deem that I get enough activity and people have questions.

Tech Rampage is going to be a site for all things tech, questions, builds, and reviews as well as video games.

So go ahead read some of my content, leave a comment and let me know what you think I love criticism as it can make me better. The more views and comments I get, I can use to contact companies asking for products to review.

Thank you, Nick

Tip for your main site. NEVER EVER EVER EVER put your contact info on the main page. It makes you look desperate.

Besides this being blatant spam, you dont even have anything reviewed on your page >__>

Also, you don't need to include the word "Review" under the Hardware and Video Games sections (as in "NHL 11 Review). The word review is already in the drop down title, it just looks a little messy that way.

I read one review. I don't intend to read more. Your iPod Touch 3rd Gen review seems to be bland, and doesn't really contribute much.

First of all, you state "Again, there should be no reason for anyone to purchase the 64GB model...", While you only have a paltry 700 songs on your iPod. If your targetting the enthusiast market, you need to view it from the perspective of an enthusiast. You comment of 7,000 songs PLUS 40 hours of video is incorrect. It is either/or. It is the 64gb which can hold 7,000 PLUS 40 hours.

You gave the performance of an older model player a 10 on the graphics scale, when the latest model advertises much improved graphics. This newer model was mentioned in the review. Hopefully this was not on a scale of 1-10, but 1-20.

Your comments on the battery life were not properly clarified. You first state the battery life is 30 hours. Then you go on to state that your battery life was between 6-16 hours max.

Furthermore, you at least mentioned the OS 4 update, but fail to make any serious comments on its many additions to the Touch 3G. Which would be a big selling point of this article. By failing to do this, you have completely failed as a reviewer.

* Previous iPod Touch updates have had a cost associated with them. How much does the OS 4 update cost? * What are the advantages of the OS 4 update, and are they worth the time spent redoing your iPod to get those features?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More accurate information on comparisons is needed. Your information on the Zune HD seems to be flawed.

Are you inferring that there is a lack of Zune Marketplace integration on the Zune HD, or are you saying the Zune Marketplace integration is sub-par on the Zune HD?

If the latter, your specifically made the comment about the sub-par ability to download music via Wifi using the device itself. How exactly is the Zune Sub-par, most of the reviews I've read indicate that it is on-par.

The alternative is that it is not the iTunes catalog, but the App Store. Where as your review would not seem to be a review of the Zune's App Store (Also "Zune Marketplace"), but a misleading remark on the availability of apps in the Zune Marketplace.

The final interpretation which can be inferred, is that this compared the older Zunes, to the iPod Touch. A poor comparison. The older Zunes were designed to compete against the "iPod Classic" models (80gb iPod, 160gb iPod). While the Zune HD is the model designed to compete against the iPod Touch, and is in many ways a superior device.

-------------------------------------------------------------

If your going for the enthusiast market, you need to raise your expectations. You cannot recommend a device to somebody who's needs are double your expectations. There is a reason the 64gb iPod exists, and there is a reason the iPod Classic is still around.

If your going after the budget conscious, or "casual" market, then a comparison of multiple devices should be the standard. You haven't compared to the device to any other touch-screen MP3 Player, or Tablet, or Cell Phone. A Cell Phone would be the biggest alternative for most budget consumers.
