What's your best speed and do you use any "tweaks" to improve your throughput? If so, which ones? I ran TCP optimizer from SpeedGuide.net. Comcast also just upped our bandwidth last week to 4.0Mbps up and 384Kbps down. :D

I tested my speed HERE though you might want to find a test server closer to you.

I think you got it backwards. I think the download speed is sopposed to be a lot faster, than the upload to an internet server.

I got this,... running 10s outbound test (upload) . . . . . 329.09Kb/s running 10s inbound test (download) . . . . . . 1.49Mb/s

329Kb/s Up, and 1.49Mb/s down. That is actually a little slow... Do to the distance, but is accurate in most cases of the speed I actually get.

Its a 2mpbs connection. I've used Bellsouth, and Firefox's bandwith testers, and thats what I get. Actually with Firefox, I get ~2.1Mpbs Dowload.

I guess they're good, for being on the absolute opposite side of the country than you, and using Bellsouth Extreme ADSL, from a distance out into the country... :D :nodding:

Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (upload) . . . . . 943.71Kb/s running 10s inbound test (download) . . . . . . 1.01Mb/s

Your speed is 18.39 times faster than 56Kb dialup

Your PC is connected to a Cable/DSL modem

Not as fast as download as you but better upload :) I use Optimum online and do not use any tweaks.

Have you got the Firefox "Bandwidth Tester" extension? If so then what do you get with it? It seems to be more accurate, as it looks for nearby servers.

I just checked, and early in the morning I can get up to 2.33Mpbs, T1/Lan, and 2.2Mpbs ADSL.
